Atchison County Board Of Canvassers Makes Votes From Special Bond Election Official
(KAIR)--Residents in USD 377 have voted and the Atchison county board of canvassers met Monday afternoon to make those votes official. County Commission Chair Jeff Schuele says there were just 35 provisional votes the board had to examine in depth, and of those, there were 29 that state statues allowed them to accept for minor things such as name or address changes.
There were some votes that the board could not count for various reasons such as failure to register to vote or voting out of county or state.
The 35 provisional ballots the board examined were not counted in the official results released by the county last week, but Schuele says that the 29 votes they accepted will be included in the new numbers that will be posted sometime Tuesday.
