(KLZA) -- Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman is asking Nebraskans to fly flags at half-staff tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 8. in honor of the memory of former Congressman John Y. McCollister.
Flags are to be flown at half-staff tomorrow on the day of Congressman McCollister’s interment.
Congressman McCollister of Omaha passed on Nov. 1 at the age of 92. He served as a Navy radar officer in the Pacific during World War II. He was a three-term member of the United States House of Representatives for the Second Congressional District serving from 1971 to 1977.
