Nebraska Ag Conference to Focus on Tax Policies
(AP) Organizers of an agriculture conference in Lincoln say this year's event will focus on state tax policy.
The Ag at the Crossroads conference is scheduled for Nov. 7 at the Lancaster Event Center. Registration opens at 8 a.m., and the conference ends at 4 p.m. It's sponsored by the Nebraska Ag Relations Council and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Department of Agricultural Economics.
Speakers will include Lt. Gov. Lavon Heidemann and state Sen. Pete Pirsch, a member of the Legislature's Tax Modernization Committee and a Republican candidate for state auditor.
The Nebraska Ag Relations Council will also honor Jerry Warner, the chief management officer of Farmers National, of Omaha.
