(KLZA) -- Falls City EDGE Executive Director Beckie Cromer presented the economic development organizations third quarter report to the City Council in Falls City and the Richardson County Commissioners in separate meetings last week.
Cromer informed the community leaders that Airlanco on the south side of Falls City is doing well. The company has exceeded the requirement to hire 15 workers in 18 months. Now, in order to qualify for loan forgiveness when the Products Unlimited building was purchased by the company, they must keep those workers on the payroll for 36 months.
Cromer noted that Falls City industries are continuing to look to hire more workers and that efforts continue to evaluate the Ames True Temper Building so brochures can be created to help with the sale of the building.
Information was also provided about the houses an investment group is getting ready to build on West 31st Street in Falls City. Plans have been drawn up for the homes which are for sale now. Anyone wanting more information on the homes may contact the EDGE office in Falls City.
