(KMZA)--A 29-year-old Seneca man has been arrested for the electronic solicitation of a child 14 to 15 years of age.
Samuel Shockey was arrested on a warrant Tuesday by the Seneca Police Department and booked into the Nemaha County Jail.
Police Chief Brent Schulte says the police department started an investigation in early May in reference to a juvenile female receiving electronic messages from an adult male. He says information was obtained that led law enforcement to believe the male may have been trying to entice or solicit the child. Reports were sent to the Nemaha County Attorney, and a warrant was signed for the arrest of Shockey.
Shockey remains in the Nemaha County Jail on $150,000 bond.
