(KTNC) - A series of events is planned across Nebraska to help seniors enroll in Medicare programs, including the prescription drug program and Medicare Advantage.
U.S. Senator Mike Johanns says the sessions offer one-on-one counseling and are geared towards helping those who are on Medicare, as well as their caregivers and family members looking for assistance. Counselors will help attendees evaluate their current plans, change their coverage, or enroll in Medicare for the first time.
There are six sessions scheduled across the state. One session will be held in Omaha, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, at the Goodwill located at 4805 North 72nd Street.
Another session will be held at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21.
To participate in one of the events, you can schedule an appointment with the Nebraska Senior Health Insurance Information Program by calling 1-800-234-7119.
