(KAIR)--The demolition of the former Amelia Earhart bridge has been set back once again.
The Kansas Department of Transportation announced Wednesday afternoon that due to equipment issue delays, all scheduled dates for the upcoming bridge implosions have been canceled and will be rescheduled.
At this point, the first blast is tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 7th.
The first blast had been scheduled for this coming Monday, September 30th.
KAIR-FM AND mscnews.net will let you know when the new schedule is finalized.
Update:KDOT announced Thursday morning that lane closures at the new Amelia Earhart bridge have been canceled until new demolition dates have been firmly set. More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
