(KMZA)--Pottawatomie County authorities are seeking a suspect in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in St. Marys.
Sheriff Greg Riat says a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 23-year-old William John Thomas, also known as Billy Thomas, in connection with the robbery of a Gambino’s Pizza delivery driver Tuesday night.
Thomas is accused of robbing the delivery driver at knifepoint in the 800 block of Willow Street shortly before 9:30. He fled with a money bag containing an unspecified amount of cash and a check.
Riat says it’s believed the robber placed a call for delivery to set up the crime.
Thomas is described as a white male, standing 6 foot tall with blond hair and blue eyes.
Riat says Thomas may be armed with a knife and shouldn’t be approached.
Anyone with information on Thomas’ whereabouts should contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s office at 785-457-3353 or your local law enforcement agency.
