(KAIR)--Get your fill and learn something at the same time. The vote yes for 377 committee is holding an informative breakfast to not only feed people, but to inform them about an upcoming vote on a $17.5 million bond that will greatly effect the USD 377 school district. Nancy Keith is a retired teacher in the district, and is part of that committee. She explains that the bond would pay for a new K-8 building attached to the current high school. It will also incorporate new wrestling facilities as well as a new gymnasium. She adds that safety is of the highest priority, and the new bond will pay for updated security features, as well as providing separate entrances for both the elementary students and high school students.
The breakfast will be held this coming Saturday morning September 21st from 7:00-10:00 at the elementary school, which is the site of the old high/middle school in Effingham. Pancakes and coffee will be served, and those attending will be given the chance to ask any questions they may have about the bond issue.
If approved, the bond would pay for improvements in both the older buildings as well as the new ones.
