(KNZA)--A Topeka man was arrested late Thursday night after a stolen truck was recovered in Jackson County.
Sheriff Tim Morse says deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call shortly after 10:30 on C Road, a ½-mile south of K-16 Highway, in the western portion of the county.
He says deputies located a 1991 GMC pickup truck registered to an owner out of Axtell, Kansas. The vehicle was later reported stolen.
59-year-old Hugh Wayne Hochard, who was occupying the vehicle, was arrested at the scene. Hochard was booked into the Jackson County Jail for felony possession of stolen property.
