University of Missouri Extension Meeting to Address Soil Management Issues
(KTNC) - University of Missouri Extension has scheduled a Precision Ag meeting August 20th to address soil management issues. The meeting to be held at a farm field operated by Milne Farms will be an infield demonstration on how to use precision tools to improve soil management for seeding, fertilizing, and drainage management.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m., on the topic of Veris E-C technology to measure soil variation. Other topics to be covered include tile drainage plans and design, an update on the tiling demonstration and research plots, and a discussion on controlled tile installation, demonstration and research plots. There will also be field demonstrations, with the meeting adjourning at 11:30 a.m.
The field is located south of Holt County Highway T on Sunset Drive.
