(KLZA) Richardson County Commissioners were able to conduct their regular meeting in just over an hour on Tuesday.
Commissioners Jim Davidson and Jim Standerford met with Sheriff Randy Houser who requested the Board approve the renewal of the agreement to participate in the Southeast Area Drug Enforcement Task Force requiring approximately $7,000 in funding from Richardson County.
Sheriff Houser also presented the Board with a purchase order for equipment needed for the new patrol units. The Sheriff said deputies would install the new equipment eliminating labor costs.
Commissioners approved the SEADE Task Force agreement and the work order.
Sheriff Houser also reported the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office would be utilizing the Richardson County metal detector for an upcoming trial.
Emergency Management Agency Director Jim Gerweck and Deputy Director Brian Dixon presented a draft of an interlocal agreement with Nemaha, Pawnee, Johnson and Otoe counties and the Nemaha Natural Resources District for the purpose of administering, developing and funding an update of the 2010 All Hazard Mitigation Plan in accordance with standards set by FEMA.
Commissioners will consider the agreement when the agreement is presented.
During a meeting of the Board of Equalization 10 notices of valuation were approved and four tax list corrections presented by Assessor Pam Vice.
