Juan Bautista Navarro
(KAIR)--Formal charges are filed against a 36-year-old man in Atchison County District Court in connection with alleged sex crimes involving two young children.
According to the Atchison County Attorney’s office, Juan Bautista Navarro was formally charged Wednesday with two counts of rape and two counts of aggravated sodomy.
The crimes are alleged to have involved an 8-year-old and a 9-year old between September 1st, 2010 and July 31st, 2013.
Navarro’s next appearance in Atchison County District Court is set for Monday afternoon at 1:00.
He remains held in the Atchison County Jail on bond of $500,000.
Navarro is also wanted by federal authorities for immigration violations.
