Trail Of Treasures Scheduled for October
(AP - KLZA) - Second annual Trail of Treasures in southeast Nebraska promises travelers miles and miles of flea market finds and garage sale bargains.
The event is patterned after the Junk Jaunt that began in 2004 in central Nebraska, which last year drew about 20,000 people from 34 states.
The Trail of Treasures is scheduled for Oct. 4-6, a week after Junk Jaunt, which is set for Sept. 27-29.
The Trail of Treasures runs down U.S. Highway 136, from Brownville on the banks of the Missouri River west to Edison. The 238-mile stretch has been designated a Nebraska Heritage Highway.
