( KNZA )--A July 25th preliminary hearing has been set for a 40-year-old Atchison man facing child sex charges in Doniphan County.
Heath Umphenhour made his first appearance in a Doniphan County courtroom this week on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14 and one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
Umphenhour was arrested last Friday by Atchison police on a Doniphan County warrant.
He was charged following an investigation by the Doniphan County Sheriff’s Department and Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
Umphenhour remains in the Doniphan County Jail on $500,000 bond.
