(KNZA)--Although the kick-off of the annual week long Jackson County Fair is still well over a week away, an annual pre-fair event, serving as a warm-up for the 4-H celebration, will happen early Saturday. That's when the Horse Show will be held , beginning at 9:00.
That's set to happen at the Northeast Kansas Heritage Complex, located 1½ miles south of Holton on Hwy 75 and ¼ mile west on 214 Road.
Meanwhile, planning for the Jackson County Fair, which runs from July 29th through August 2nd on the fairgrounds in Holton, is continuing as other pre-fair activities are planned.
On Saturday, July 27th, a Pony Pull will be held at the Fair Grounds Show Arena, at 2:00, while the annual Jackson County Rodeo is also planned for that weekend.
