Desiree Shopteese

(KNZA)--60 days in the Jackson County Jail.

That's the sentence handed down Friday to one of two suspects in the January shooting death of a Mayetta man.

Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says probation for Desiree Shopteese was revoked, due to probation violations, landing her the jail sentence.

Shopteese was placed on probation in suspension of an eight-month prison sentence following her convicition for obstructing apprehension or prosecution.

Violation of the terms of her probation include failing a drug test and failure to appear for required addiction treatment.

Shopteese originally faced a charge of 2nd degree murder, along with Lloyd Wabaunsee,  in connection with the January shooting death of Kevin Stanley in Mayetta.

However, Shopteese pled to the lesser charge in April.

Wabaunsee is scheduled for arraigment on the murder charge on July 26th.
