(KMZA)--A 32-year-old Sabetha man faces a number of charges following what's described as an armed domestic incident on Saturday.
Police Chief Robert Wahwasuck says Charles Smith, II was taken into custody at his Sabetha home, arrested on charges including aggravated assault and kidnapping.
That stems from threats Smith allegedly made, while armed, to use the gun on himself, his wife or on police. Wahwasuck says Smith, during the incident, allegedly physically restrained his wife, keeping her from leaving the home.
When police arrived at the home, they were denied entry, having to force their way inside where they apprehended Smith without further incident.
He was taken to the Nemaha County Jail and booked on the charges.
