(KLZA) The Judicial Nominating Commission for the District Court in the 2nd Judicial District in Nebraska has forwarded the names of three nominees to Gov. Dave Heineman for his consideration.
The nominees are Jeffrey J. Funke of Nebraska City, Stefanie A. Martinez of Omaha, and George A. Thompson of Papillion
The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Randall L. Rehmeier. The 2nd Judicial District consists of Cass, Sarpy and Otoe Counties. The Governor will schedule interviews with nominees in the coming weeks.
