Matt Sprick Elected USD 415 Board President

 ( KNZA )-Matt Sprick will serve as president of the Hiawatha Board of Education for the 2013-2014 school year.
The board held their annual organizational meeting Monday evening.
Sprick replaces Dave Thompson who had served as board president the past two years.
Pete Rosa was elected board vice-president.
Following a closed-door session, the board approved supplemental contracts for 2013-2014.
The board also approved an about 1.7 percent pay increase for classified staff and administrators.  Classified staff includes bus drivers, cooks, secretaries, and custodians.
