(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Council will consider two proposals for water rate increases when they meet Monday evening. The council meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The council will consider one of two amendments to the current water ordinance. One would increase the water rate to $24.50 for a three-quarter-inch meter, effective with the start of the new fiscal year on October 1st.
A second proposal would also increase the water rate to $24.50 on October 1st, and would also adjust the base rate by at least 50-cents each year through 2016.
Also on the council’s agenda is approval of the salary ordinance for the next year, and approval of city donations to various organizations.
Jerry Graham is scheduled to provide the council an update on a couple properties he owns – the old Locker at 522 G Street and the stucco house at 623 7th Street.
The council will also review second quarter hours with Sheriff Jayme Reed.
