(KAIR)--A deer crossing the highway is blamed for a Wednesday night Atchison County motorcycle crash that left two injured.
Sheriff Jack Laurie says 39-year-old Atchison resident Brian Spillman, and a female passenger, were on board the motorcycle, traveling along K-7 Highway, when the wreck happened(Play Audio)
The female passenger, identified as Amber Colekasher, suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalized treatment.
While it's unknown if the two were wearing helmets when the crash happened shortly before 9:30 Wednesday night, Laurie says both were equipped with eye protection.
