( KNZA )--Doniphan County residents can now sign up to receive emergency and severe weather alerts.
County Clerk Peggy Franken announced Monday the implementation of the free public alert system through TextCaster, which allows the public to receive the alerts issued by the Doniphan County Sheriff’s Department via text messaging and/or email.
The public can sign up online at the county’s web site, dpcountyks.com. Doniphan County residents can also complete an enrollment form located at city halls, banks, grocery stores, and library branches throughout the county, along with Doniphan County Electric Cooperative or county offices and return the form to the Doniphan County Clerk’s office.
