(KTNC) - It appears that storms are brewing for Saturday. Becky Kern is a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Valley and she says those living in eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa can expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail and possibly tornados Saturday afternoon. Kern says most of the activity will be south of the I-80 corridor.
Once this system moves through, Kern says warm weather will again return but the threat of bad weather isn't off their radar. (play audio :19 next week.”)
Kern recommends those with outdoor plans Saturday keep close tabs on the weather throughout the day and have a safety plan in place.
