( KNZA )-The Brown County Relay for Life is fast approaching, with the dates of June 7th throught 8th set for the annual cancer awareness fundraising event.
Working under the theme “Keep Calm and Relay On....ACS 100 Years Strong,” the relay will be held at the Hiawatha High School Track from 6:00 that Friday evening through 6:00 the next morning.
The event, along with raising funds and awareness, is held to commemorate those who lost the battle with cancer, while celebrating the survivors.
They will be recognized during the annual Survivor's Dinner planned for the evening of May 31st at the First Baptist Church Life Center in Hiawatha.
Beginning with registration at 6:00, the dinner will begin at 6:30, followed by a short program.
RSVP's are required to attend, and may be arranged by calling 785-474-3312 or 785-742-3193 by May 13th.
