(KTNC) - Twenty-two cadets in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program will receive military commissions in ceremonies this weekend.
The ceremony for nine new second lieutenants in the Air Force will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday. Among those who will be commissioned during that ceremony is Mason Niemeyer of Falls City.
Ceremonies on Saturday will begin at 1:00 p.m. for eight new second lieutenants in the Army and at 1:30 for four new Navy ensigns and a Marine Corps second lieutenant.
Jonathan Gronewald of Adams will be commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the Army.
The ceremonies will be held at the Nebraska Union, at 14th and R Streets in Lincoln, and are free and open to the public.
