(KMZA)--A 22-year-old Hiawatha man remains jailed, following his Wednesday arrest on burglary related charges.
Ryan Massengill was apprehended on a Nemaha County warrant for aggravated burglary, burglary, and three counts of theft.
He was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on the charges, with bond set at $50,000.
The investigation leading to Massengill's arrest was overseen by the Sabetha Police Department, and began last summer. It was at that time, Chief Robert Wahwahsuck says, that Massengill developed as a suspect during a lengthy investigation into several burglaries. Following an unrelated arrest on drug charges, Massengill was identified by officers as the man seen in surveilance video related to the burglaries.
The investigation was ultimately turned over to the County Attorney's office, and a warrant was issued, leading to Massengill's Wednesday arrest.
