Auburn Board Moves Forward with Gym Floor Replacement

(KLZA) The Auburn School Board Monday approved the expenditure of more than $10,000 to have construction documents for replacement of the High School gym floor and bleachers created by an architectural firm. 

Superintendent Kevin Reiman explained the possible problems with the 40 year old facility.  ( play audio :49 seconds )

Reiman said the district has had the bleachers checked and they are safe at this time. ( play audio :09 seconds )

Like most projects,  replacement of the gym floor and bleachers will have a hefty price tag.  ( play audio :32 seconds )

Superintendent Reiman said ideally the project could be all done at once, but the cost may force it to be a two budget year project. ( play audio :15 seconds )

In other business the Auburn School Board approved a bid from an Omaha based company to provide bread to the district the rest of the school year. ( play audio :25 seconds )
