( KNZA )- A two-vehicle accident in a construction zone on U.S. 36 Highway about 5 miles west of Troy Tuesday morning sent an Atchison woman to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Molly Davies of Troy was slowing for a flagger in the construction zone when another westbound car driven by 21-year-old Charlotte Beck failed to slow and struck Davies car in the rear.
Beck was transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital.
Davies was not hurt.
The Patrol says both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The accident was reported shortly after 7:40 Tuesday morning.
