(KTNC) - Falls City will hold its annual Veteran’s Day Celebration on Monday.
The Veteran’s Day program will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Falls City High School Gymnasium. The guest speaker will be Roy Schoen, the Team Leader for the Lincoln Vet Center, which provides veterans with readjustment counseling services. Schoen is a Vietnam War Veteran, who was honorable discharged in 1970 as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division.
The program will also include the Falls City High School Band and the combined choruses from Falls City Public and Sacred Heart High Schools.
The Veteran’s Day Parade will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon. The parade will go down Stone Street Monday. It had previously been advertised that the parade would be moved to Chase Street. But with construction wrapping up late this week on Stone Street, organizers plan to have the parade travel down Stone Street.
The Veteran’s Day Supper will be held at the First United Methodist Church, at 1700 Harlan Street, for military veterans and their guests for a free will donation. The supper will be served at 6:00 p.m., with a presentation at 7:00 and cutting of the cake at 8:00 p.m.
