(KTNC) - The community of Craig, Missouri is inviting people to enjoy the activities of CraigFest 2012 this Friday through Sunday. The theme of this year’s festival is “God Bless Rural America.”
The Craig Community Committee sponsors the event. Committee president Charmaine Flint says event kick-off Friday evening. (play audio :29)
There is a full slate of activities scheduled on Saturday. (play audio :44)
Registration and line-up for the parade begin at nine o’clock Saturday morning. Following the open mic, Flint says this is the first year they will have a “Battle of the Bands.” (play audio :13)
Sunday events include a car show, Church in the Park at 10:00 a.m., the Junior Class Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church, live entertainment by “Porch Dogs” at 1:30, and the festival concludes with a Tribute to Veterans at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the City Park.
Flint says the weekend presents a chance for residents of Craig and the surrounding area to come together for a good time. (play audio :25)
