(KNZA)--Two separate Nemaha County, KS crashes this week leave three people injured.
The first wreck happened around 4:30 Monday afternoon when Wetmore resident David Wichman was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on W Road, just south of 72nd Road. That's when a deer apparently ran into the roadway, and into Wichman's path.
Striking the animal, the 44-year-old Wichman lost control of the motorcycle and suffered injuries, and was transported, by ambulance, to the Sabetha Hospital.
The second crash happened Tuesday when two vehicles collided around 2:00 that afternoon.
The Nemaha County Sheriff's Department reports that 37-year-old Corning resident Jody Becker was eastbound on 52nd Road, just west of K-63 Highway, while 29-year-old Melissa Lawson, of Centralia, was westbound at the same location.
Becker's Suburban and Lawson's Jeep Commnader collided, sending both drivers to the hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash.
