Burn Ban Lifted in Brown County
08/27/2012

Due to the rainfall over the weekend, Brown County Commissioners voted Monday to lift the countywide burn ban.

The burn ban had been in effect since July 23rd.

In other business, the commission approved an agreement with the Housing Authority of the Iowa Tribe for a payment in lieu of taxes on low-income housing located on the reservation.

The agreement is for a 30-year period.

Commissioners signed a purchase order submitted by District Court Clerk Lela Smith-Middendorf to Manatron for replacement of the computer server in her office at a cost of $7,162—including installation.
