Holton Residents Asked To Conserve Water

(KNZA)--Due to the continuing extremely dry conditions, the City of Holton becomes the latest local community to work towards water conservation.

City Manager Bret Bauer says the Holton City Commission has enacted a voluntary water conservation effort for the city, meaning residents are asked to not use water for unnecessary purposes(Play Audio) 

Bauer says the conservation, for now, is voluntary only(Play Audio)

Residents are also reminded of other water saving measures such as running diswashers and washing machines only when loads are full. 

Rural Water District #3 of Jackson County in Holton is also asking their customers to voluntarily conserve water.
