Area Chip Seal Project Completed

 ( KNZA )- A chip seal project on a 13 mile stretch of K-62 in Jackson and Nemaha Counties has been completed ahead of schedule and reopened to unrestricted traffic.

The Kansas Department of Transportation made the announcement Friday.

The project from the K-16 junction in Jackson County north to the K-9 junction in Nemaha County began June 27th.  It has been scheduled for completion in late August.

Blevins Asphalt Construction Company of Mount Vernon, Missouri was the contractor on the nearly half-a-million dollar project.
