( KNZA )- Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has announced the appointment of Elizabeth “Libby” Ensley Deiter as a Magistrate Judge in the 22nd Judicial District
Ensley Deiter will replace her husband, Steve Dieter of Sabetha, who stepped down in June with two years remaining in his term.
Brownback says Elizabeth has a wealth of experience serving the people of Kansas and is confident that she will make an excellent Magistrate Judge for the 22nd Judicial District.
Ensley Deiter currently serves as the Shawnee County Election Commissioner, first appointed by Secretary of State Bill Graves in 1992, and reappointed by Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh in 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. She is a graduate of Washburn University.
The state’s 105 counties are organized into 31 Judicial Districts. The 22nd Judicial District Court encompasses Brown, Doniphan, Marshall, and Nemaha Counties.
