( KMZA )--A Washington County, Kansas couple have each received maximum sentences for child sex crimes
Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said Wednesday that 40-year-old Troy Jearald Fencil of Greenleaf was sentenced to 218 months in prison.
He pleaded guilty last month to charges of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties and sexual exploitation of a child.
30-year-old Virginia Fencil, also of Greenleaf, was sentenced to 137 months in prison. She pleaded no contest last month to one count of aggravated criminal sodomy and two counts of aggravated endangerment of a child.
Judge Kim W. Cudney handed down the sentences Wednesday in Washington County District Court.
The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
The Kansas Attorney General’s office assisted the Washington County Attorney’s office in prosecution of the case.
