08/06/2012

( KNZA )-A Topeka woman was arrested in Jackson County over the weekend after a sheriff’s deputy discovered the vehicle she was driving had been stolen.
Sheriff Tim Morse says a sheriff’s deputy stopped to help a stranded motorist Saturday morning around 1:30 just outside of Hoyt.
Morse says the deputy discovered that the license tag on the vehicle was stolen from a different vehicle and subsequently discovered the 1992 Ford pickup truck was also stolen out of Topeka.
Arrested at the scene was 51-year-old Barbara Murray.
Murray was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of stolen property.  She was later released on bond.
