(KNZA)--Jackson County voters will have a chance, on Thursday, to see, firsthand, the crowded field of candidates seeking election to open county offices.
The chance to see the candidates in person will happen during a forum being held Thursday evening, sponsored by the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber Director Jamie Claycamp says with the high number of candidates, it was decided that the forum was needed to allow voters a chance to have one location to learn about the candidates(Play Audio)
Invitations to take part in the forum were sent to the candidates seeking sheriff, the district two and three commission seats, county treasurer, county clerk, county register of deeds and county attorney(Play Audio)
The questions selected were submitted by members of the public.
Claycamp says, while state candidates will not be included in the actual forum, some are likely to be in attendance Thursday evening(Play Audio)
Thursday evening's forum will begin at 6:00 in the Holton High School commons area.
That time, and location, will also be the same for the July 24th state candidates forum.
