Falls City tops Doniphan County

 In Legion Baseball Monday night, the Doniphan County seniors out-hit Falls City 9-7, but Falls City took advantage of nine Doniphan County errors to win the game, 15-8. 
 The big inning was the second, when Falls City took advantage of four walks and three Doniphan County errors to score seven runs on just two base hits.  The big inning came after Doniphan County had scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning.  Falls City then scored two more runs in the third, four more in the fifth, and two in the seventh inning.
 Logan Faller was the winning pitcher for Falls City.  He went six innings, giving up 7 runs on 8 hits, while throwing 129 pitches. 
Derek Nold was the losing pitcher for Doniphan County. He pitched the first three innings and gave up 9 runs, though only one of those was earned.  Only five of Falls City’s 15 runs in the game were earned.
