It was seniors only Monday in Legion Baseball action, as Falls City hosted Seneca in the final game at Dallas Jones Park before the fields are renovated.
Falls City got out to an early lead, scoring a run without the benefit of a hit in the first inning. The lead didn’t last, as Seneca erupted for eight runs in the top of the third and went on to a 9-5 win.
Falls City rallied with three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning after trailing 9-2.
Monday’s game was the final home game for Falls City this season. The juniors are at St. Joseph Post 11 this evening. The seniors play in the Doniphan County Kansas Tournament beginning Thursday.
The Southeast Nebraska Baseball Conference All-Star Game will be played at Peru State College on Sunday afternoon.
