Kansas farm producers must report acreages of all small grain crops to the Farm Service by the end of the day Thursday.
Thursday is also the final date to request a commodity loan or LDP on 2011-crop feed grains, oilseeds, cotton, lentils, and sunflowers.
The 2012 Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program and Average Crop Revenue Election provide income support when there is a decline in commodity prices.
That program enrollment ends Friday.
All producers receiving a share greater than zero on the DCP or ACRE contract must sign the contract no later than Friday.
Atchison County FSA Executive Director Carla Jackson says the SURE program’s deadline for 2010 crop losses is Friday as well.

Jackson expects a low amount of people in Atchison County to qualify for this program, but says it’s higher in other counties.

Due to budget constraints, FSA can no longer mail regular newsletters.
Producers are encouraged to provide their email address to the local FSA office to receive monthly newsletters and other bulletins by email. July 15th is the deadline to report spring seeded crops and CRP.
