KS House Denounces Agenda 21
05/16/2012

The Kansas House has passed a resolution opposing the United Nation's Agenda 21.

The controversial Agenda 21 outlines sustainability guidelines, with a focus on environmentalism.

However, critics say it goes too far, with opponents saying it will, if enacted, remove the sovereignty of the United States, force what crops can and can't be grown, and erode personal property rights.  In fact, some national critics have said the story line in the popular film, and book, “The Hunger Games” appears to be based on the eventual outcome of Agenda 21.

However, supporters say the U.N. plan is simply a method to make certain nations are being ecologically respectful, encouraging proper consumption and environmental responsibility.

Kansas House members say Agenda 21 is “trying to destroy the American way of life,” and that's why they passed the resolution in opposition to it.
