RB Green Leaving Husker Football Program
Sophomore running back Aaron Green has been released from his scholarship and will transfer from Nebraska, his father told The World-Herald Sunday night. Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini has confirmed that running back Aaron Green has been given permission to look at other schools to continue his college career.
The 5’11, 190 pound product of San Antonio hopes to play closer to home. Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech are potential schools. As far as the NU depth chart, Ameer Abdullah and Braylon Heard will back up Rex Burkhead. Green touched the ball 24 times for 105 yards and had a 25-yard touchdown catch for the Huskers in 2011.
