Work has resumed on the Seneca Main Street reconstruction project after a double-fatality accident last week involving members of the construction crew.
Eight members of Bryant and Bryant Construction were on their way to Seneca April 16th when their van was struck head-on by a pickup truck that had crossed the center line on U.S. 77 Highway about one mile north of Milford in Geary County.
Killed in the accident were both drivers. Six Bryant and Bryant crew members were hospitalized. All but two have since been released.
Work resumed Monday on rebuilding three block’s of Seneca's Main Street after the project was shut down for a week following the accident.
Meanwhile, Seneca Downtown Impact Director Dona Willmeth says efforts are underway locally to collect donations for the accident victims and their families...( play audio )
Donations will be collected until the last week of May, and then sent to the families through Bryant and Bryant Construction.
