The Sabetha City Commission has set the spring burning dates.
City residents will be allowed to burn leaves and twigs now through Monday, May 5th.
No branches or trash are allowed. In addition, burning must be done on private property, not in the street.
If dry, windy conditions return, the commission reserves the right to cancel the burning authorization on the recommendation of Sabetha Fire Chief Jim Johnson.
The commission set the burning dates at the regular meeting this week.
