A Denison man is facing legal troubles-including felony theft-following what authorities say was his unwillingness to pay for a motorcycle he agreed to purchase from a Holton resident.
Holton Police Chief Gale Gakle says the case began when Holton resident Wayne Dodd reported the non-payment, and missing bike, later traced to Jefferson County(Play Audio :24 seconds)
Gakle says the suspect, identified as Sheldon Massey, was arrested, and now faces a number of charges(Play Audio :14 seconds)
Following the investigation, and arrest, Dodd is reunited with the motorcycle.
However, authorities say the case is a good example of why a sales transaction should be finalized prior to allowing the buyer to make off with the goods.
