Hillsboro 42 - ACCHS 38
For the second straight game in Hutchinson, the ACCHS girls could not hold on to a fourth quarter lead and settled for a fourth place finish in the Class 3A State Tournament. Allison Wallisch led the Tigers posting 12 points and 10 rebounds while Tara Ellerman closed a brilliant prep career with 10 points and 8 boards. After making only two treys in the semifinals, Atchison County again struggled to score from the perimeter and made only one three in the championship. ACCHS finishes the season with a school record 23 wins against just 3 losses including the final two games of the season. They also captured their first-ever league title in route to a top four state finish for the first time since 2007.
