Two Hiawatha Residents Facing Drug Charges
Two Hiawatha residents are facing drug charges after a search warrant was served on a local residence.
Hiawatha Police Chief Evans Woehlecke says the police department served a search warrant Tuesday evening in the 300 block of South 7th Street where they seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
21-year-old Robert McPherson was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Brown County Jail.
Upon further investigation, 19-year-old Andrew McPherson was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a weapon.
Woehlecke says the case remains under investigation and additional arrests are possible.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the search.
