Three rural Hiawatha residents facing drug charges have entered into a plea agreement.
35-year-old Cara Perry and 44-year-old Nadia Negretti plead no contest Monday in Brown County District Court to one count of unlawful distribution of a drug precursor.
In exchange for the plea, an additional count of unlawful distribution and a charge of possession of methamphetamine were dismissed.
40-year-old Charles “ Chip” Shelley plead no contest to two counts of unlawful distribution. In exchange, a charge of possession of meth was dismissed.
Negretti is to be sentenced April 2nd. Shelley and Perry are to be sentenced April 6th.
The trio were arrested in early December after the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of the Sac and Fox Tribal Police Department, served a search warrant on a residence at 1631 250th Street.
